Title: Voice controlled electronic health record in dentistry Author: MUDr. Radek Hippmann Department: Department of paediatric stomatology, Faculty hospital Motol Supervisor: Prof. MUDr. Taťjana Dostalová, DrSc., MBA Supervisor's e-mail: Tatjana.Dostalova@fnmotol.cz This PhD thesis is concerning with development of the complex electronic health record (EHR) for the field of dentistry. This system is also enhanced with voice control based on the Automatic speech recognition (ASR) system and module for speech synthesis Text-to- speech (TTS). In the first part of the thesis is described the whole issue and are defined particular areas, whose combination is essential for EHR system creation in this field. It is mainly basic delimiting of terms and areas in the dentistry. In the next step we are engaged in temporomandibular joint (TMJ) problematic, which is often ignored and trends in EHR and voice technologies are also described. In the methodological part are described delineated technologies used during the EHR system creation, voice recognition and TMJ disease classification. Following part incorporates results description, which are corresponding with the knowledge base in dentistry and TMJ. From this knowledge base originates the graphic user interface DentCross, which is serving for dental data...

Šeda, Matěj ; Potančok, Martin (advisor) ; Voříšek, Jiří (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the opportunities of Cloud Computing technologies and services in dentistry in the Czech Republic. It is especially focused on the use of the Software-as-a-Service distribution model in dental practice management system. Primarily, the information system, which uses a cloud model for distribution of a the dental practice management software, is defined. Then the functionality requirements for this software and general advantages and disadvantages of Cloud Computing in relation to dentistry are summarized. This part also describes the legislative and technical prerequisites for keeping electronic health records. These theoretical findings serve as a basis for the market analysis of Cloud Computing in the field of dentistry in the Czech Republic and abroad, also to carry out interviews with dentists and workers of selected dental surgeries or clinics. Based on these interviews the current condition of dentistry in the Czech Republic and the attitude of Czech surgeries to Cloud Computing is described. The last part of this work presents the options of moving to the cloud and proposes solutions of some Cloud Computing issues, which emerged from previous analyses.
Analysis of the Effectiveness of Information System Implementation of Emergency Medical Services
Kettnerová, Jana ; Lešetický, Ondřej (advisor) ; Střítecký, Rudolf (referee)
This thesis is focused on the detection of the effectiveness of the established information system that is used by the Emergency Medical Service of the Vysočina Region to keep medical records; in case of the Emergency Medical Assistance there are used intervention records. The aim of this thesis is to determine the effectiveness of information system implementation used for the administration of medical records on the basis of selected indicators. The introduction describes terms that are used in this thesis. There is defined the environment of the Emergency Medical Service, specified the documentation and forms of the medical records administration which is used by the Emergency Medical Service. There is also introduced the information system that serves the medical records administration and the theory of cost effectiveness. The practical part is focused on the analysis of the information system, and on confirmation and refutation of set hypotheses supported by quantitative research. The summary and recommendation are based on obtained and analyzed results of this research.
